Today, we’re re-enabling the “Send By SMS” feature and adding a “Send By Email” feature to your Order form. When you login to your Airitme-Online account and go to the “New Order” form, you will now see the following:

To send the vouchers as an SMS, tick the “Send As SMS” Checkbox and enter the phone number you want to send your vouchers to. The phone number must be in international format, starting with +256 e.g. +256712123423.

Note: For now only MTN Uganda and Uganda Telecom numbers are supported – but we’re working overtime to support more networks.

To send the vouchers via email, tick the “Send As Email” Checkbox and enter the email addresses to which the vouchers should be delivered. You can enter multiple email addresses separated by commas, e.g. john@doe.com, tom@doe.com.

You can also optionally edit the from address. It defaults to your account name and email (which you can change from the “Configuration” section). If you eliminate the from address altogether (or use an invalid one) – we will set it to “no-reply@airtime-online.com”.

Airtime Online is an electronic voucher distribution system.

What this simply means is that it allows you to distribute voucher-type products via the internet (and mobile and handheld point-of-sale equipment and other such “gizmos”)

Voucher-type products can be anything, really – they’re usually identified by a code and serial number, and have a value attached – they could be tickets, airtime, or invitations to your friend’s wedding

Airtime-Online has been around for a while, but we’ve decided to re-launch Airtime-Online in 3 variants:

1. A hosted version – with voucher products that we distribute ourselves
2. A hosted version – for independent voucher distributors who want to upload their own voucher products, and distribute them as they see fit
3. A dedicated/self-install version – which you can purchase and install on your own system

We’re also planning to enable e-payment, as well as a public shop which will show-case various voucher products for the general public to purchase.
